Hike & Backpack

Skagway is home to tons of amazing hikes for all skill  levels. Throw on a pack and hit the trail. Or do the Duff's Trail Challenge and hike 12 local trails in one summer. We are set in the Klondike National Park which is home to the historical Chilkoot Trail.

Paddle Around

Rent a kayak or borrow the staff SUP boards to paddle ocean and lake waters and discover the beauty of Alaska.

Hit up the Food Scene

Fresh local fish & crab, "big ass" pizzas, craft beer, gourmet burgers, famous Thai food, Indian food, and so much more. Skagway has good eats.

Go Camping 

Camping in Skagway is magical. Pop up a tent by the ocean or lake and expect amazing views. The long days makes for more light around the campfire.

Run a Race

Skagway is host to some amazing races such as the Duff's Skagway Marathon & Half (June) and the Klondike Road Relay (early September).

Take a Tour

Be a tourist for a day! There are helicopter tours, the historical Whitepass Yukon & Route railroad, electric bikes, ziplining, river rafting and so much more.

Attend Local Festivals

Skagway has many fantastic gatherings such as Summer Solstice celebration, 4th of July street dance, Blues & Brews, Pride festival, and more.

Paint your Brick

We're big on tradition. That's why the brick wall keeps growing. Every employee gets one brick to paint their signature memory of their summer in Skagway with us.

Just Hang Out

Skagway is like Summer camp for adults. Prime time to just hang out with new people that are all out living their adventure just like you. 

Some Other Activities Worth Mentioning

-Skateboard at the local Skate park which is across the street from our housing

-Dance Night or Trivia Night at the Red Onion Saloon

-Skagway Traditional Council regularly hosts native arts & skills classes

-Fishing in local lakes, rivers, streams, and ocean

-Live Music at local bars & Restaurants

-Drive north into Canada for a day or weekend trip 

-Take a day boat to Haines to discover another quaint Alaska town

-Enjoy a round of disc gold out at the disc golf course set in the forest

-Join one of the local softball teams, popular with locals and seasonals

-Climb the indoor rock wall at the Skagway Recreation Center
